This is to all the NUS freshmen. Are you feeling lost, bewildered and disorientated? Fret not, every new student goes through the initial pain each year and most, if not all survive. As a little something to cheer you up, NUS Libraries has produced a little video clip for your enjoyment. Yes, go ahead and laugh at our clumsy and amateurish attempts at film-making (I never said we were experts!). We hope you have fun watching it as much as we had bringing it to you

Maggie, that’s brilliant! Clumsy and amateurish? Perhaps… but it’s got a very authentic feel to it. I think it demonstrates that you can have fun and be effective at the same time. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that it was effective because it was fun.
I’ve mailed you some other feedback which you might want to consider.

Thanks for the compliment…A lot of effort went into the video and although people involved were initially a little stressed out but I think they got a kick after the whole thing was done. We’ve not shown it to the students though so hopefully we get some feedback.

Excellent video! It’s authentic rather than “amateurish”. I laughed at the 4:15″ mark when someone shushed the actress and she “shushed” back out of frustration! Running it at 10mins might be a bit long for some people, though I found it OK. Nice work! Nice idea to have real student testimonials.

Theatrette 2 is located at the entrance level (Level 4)of Central Library, just before the RBR area on your left.
